Love And God Of 'self' Poem by Louie Levy

Love And God Of 'self'

The most spoken noun of the many
polytheistic deities conceived -
worship and controversy becoming
synonymous with conflict

What then should we communicate
What then are we to commonly respect
What spiritual humanness

Are we mere impostors
And; why are loving emotions entangled
and knotted with hate and prejudice?

They of whom speak of creation and
devils' of hell and heaven saved sinners
Confused are we troubled by such
intimidating discourse of preached dogma

We shame with self proclaimed
profound human intelligence
Having evolved with ignorance
and controversies un-resolved

We more respect other life-form with
possessing unconditional love and their
lacking the inhuman instinct for self annihilation
We are fiction composed of our 'Selves'

Fledglings in our feebleness to define creation
Round and around is the universe course with no
end nor beginning. We greed, waste and haste
Interring all to a common grave of unresolved despair.

Earth Home
Repected

Love Omni potently
Adorned

Once more your words ring true, mans conflicts usually come from his inability to prove the existence of his particular God. His faith drives him insane and forgives the violence he commits on his fellow human beings. Bob
