Love From A Distance Poem by Bill Cantrell

Love From A Distance

Rating: 5.0

Tonight I sleep in your pillowcase
And though you are unaware
I touch your lips while you slumber
And smell the scent of your hair
I get lost in the way you toss an turn,
Then take one last look at your face
For to go any further should wake you up,
And that would be so out of place
But let me cast into your ears,
A lover's lullaby
Then wash away all memories of me
And hang me out to dry
