Lure Poem by Susan Lacovara

Lure

Rating: 5.0

Line cast...

Into the calm water

that is his armour...

Lure, intact...

I wait...

Will he take the bait

And bite...

Holding tight,

The tension of my tug

must remain consistent,

if but a bit relaxed

as not to lose him from the line

But slowly, steadily...reel him in.

The delight is in the fishing... A brilliant word play on the art of securing nourishment... for the body and the soul…

Luring for a loved love is quite seducing! Liked it though!
