to about the oceans
I do not know" said M. T.
I am blessed to have
lived in his times, fortunate
to speak the language
he spoke and wrote in.

MT, though, wrote about anything under the sun with equal skill and mastery, not just about Nila.

MT stands tall among the top writers in the world. Much higher than the best. He has not won a Nobel, maybe only because he wrote in a small language Malayalam.

Nila is MT's own river, the largest river of Kerala. Nila is also Peraar and Bharatsppuzha for Malayalees.
It is the Holy Ganga for the Malayalees
