Mahatma Gandhi & Ahimsa 3 - To Cultivate Universal Love

Rating: 5.0

Gandhiji defined Ahimsa
As cultivating
Universal love;
A narrow outlook
Betrayed Ahimsa

Ahimsa is not about
Killing animals
Is it necessary to raise
Issues on killing animals?
What are our primary concerns?

Have we developed love
For dangerous reptiles?
What about the vipers
Residing in us,
Like anger and hatred?

What are we doing
To eradicate negative emotions?
But we dare to raise futile questions
On killing animals.
Are we not moving in a vicious circle?

One who desires to practice Ahimsa must
Forget about snakes or reptiles.
Let us overcome anger and hatred
Let us practise universal brotherhood!
Let us cultivate universal love!

Thank you for introducing me to Ahimsa. This is a very creative way of sharing his wisdom to everybody. At this time, when man is killing each other; what chances do animals have?
