Mary Carmel
A lovely name
Crafted from the strings
Of the heart of Mother Mary
Drawn from the Garden of God
A name that can ring
The bells of heaven.
A name that she lives up to
A prayerful woman
Always, always
With a great heart
Who cares for everybody
Disregarding color and status.
When she is around
She reminds us
That kindness always
Makes a difference
That kindness creates ripples
Like the sea's gentle waves.
A woman of many talents
She can bring joy and music
Anywhere, anytime
She can play the piano
Even the banjo
She can play the drums
The guitar and ukelele
And sing to her heart's content
The music of Frank Sinatra
And Sharon Cuneta.
And when she laughs
Oh! heaven and earth meet
Her voice is so strong
So powerful
It can create a roar
Even a thunder.
She is like a ray of sunshine
That diffuses her light
So evenly
So tenderly
Mary Carmel
A jewel of humanity.
