Memories Poem by adam cliff

Memories

Rating: 2.5

I remember when we used to play in the sand
I remember the first time I held your hand
So long ago, but still in thought
This memory is not something that can be bought
We used to sit and laugh and smile
But now that time seems like a mile
I now say my goodbyes
And I hear you sigh
I come closer to hug you for the last time
But to stay with you would be a crime
I turn to walk and leave forever
And I remember when we where together
But now the time has come
And this is the end for some
But just remember the memories…

A pleasant poem Adam, and the story flows well through it. Second from last line is a bit flat, breaks into other peoples lives, and breaks away from the actual poem being about you. Otherwise a nice poem, and nice to read. Love Ernestine XXX
