Memories Of The Past - Poem by Samantha Carter

The bruises were black and blue
the scars white and permanent
Being beaten over and over
the memories will remain forever
nightmare after nightmare they will never go away
to be beaten by the ones that
you thought would never hurt you
to be molested in places even the state thought you were safe
the memories will remain
a permanent part of the past

The pain is so very deep in this one. Scars remain. Wishing you peace and many bright days ahead. Lesa (Report) Reply
