Memory Poem by Nosheen Irfan

Memory

Rating: 4.5

I still hold you
In the clutter
That my heart has become
My mind is at war,
Fighting you off
But my heart wins
Littered with pieces of you
That refuse to leave
Its reluctant confines
You are perched there
Often visible
And hidden at times
No matter how many walls
I build
To keep you apart
From the mesh of thoughts
My heart,
Always digs you out.

A reluctant state of not fully bidding farewell to the one you were in love in the past. You have penned it so well how heart and Mind compose themselves for internal battle. Ultimately you can shun off only when your heart is willing!
