Molten Lava Poem by Rini Shibu

Molten Lava

Rating: 5.0

Like a soft breeze you came to me
Your gentle touch fueled the love
tide that rolled into my heart
And I sank in the whirlpool of love
Things that brought us together
Drove us apart
The wind passed away
Leaving me alone
Ardent and fervent love for you
feebledmy heart
Tears filled the ocean and
Froze into an iceberg of loneliness
hidden in the midst
Your shores never knew
the depth of my pain
The waves rumbled at my cry
Life without you became terrible
Long sleepless nights
and the endless pain
Your memories are buried
In the bottom of my heart
Like a volcano, it's erupting
And consuming me forever.

Rini this is a flowing poem of love that was good and beautiful in the beginning but went wrong with the passing of time. The memories will haunt you but time will heal your heart.

Hi, Rini! Reading your recent poems I came on this one. I like your shores never knew the depth of my pain. Are you familiar with Johnny Cash? He sang a song titled Ring of Fire. I think you’ll relate to it. -Glen

Could such wonderful verses be penned without reality? For a poet, there is additional advantage of 'love' i.e. that emotions fuel breathtaking stanzas...how can you be an exception to that!

Thanks Kishore.. When we dissolve into the character totally, we could write with feel
