Moonlight Rain - Poem by Michael P. McParland
Sitting in the moonlight rain
letting it wash over me while I think of thee.
Just a night to sit out in
a light breezy summer rain,
and think of my only love and how she is.
I always smile when I think of her,
because no matter what she lights my spirit up.
She'll forever be an inspiration to this man.
In the moonlight rain I silently pray for her.
To feel my love and warmth and that
in every way she'll be happy and well.
I know she loves me just as much please
help that she will find her way back.
I want to help heal the wounds of her broken heart.
Correct all the wrongs that I have wrought.
In the light breezy moonlight rain
I look to the stars and see you there.
I smile and ask the moon, stars and God to pass my message.
I love you Kira to me you are so very special,
you are the one I find so completely
beautiful as an entire person.
Please feel my love in your heart and soul
and make your needed celebrated return.
I love you more than any man has ever loved
a woman because they never had my special Kira.
I love you babe you are my only one.
