Morning Melody Poem by Yasmin Khan

Morning Melody

Rating: 5.0

In blush of dawn when breeze is calm
A high pitched anthem trills and rolls

Slumbers sweet stirred up and flipped
Whimsical dreams and sighs are sipped

Floats and rolls his unwearied song
Harbingers light, hope for all day long

Springing tunes from his golden heart
On a heavenly lyre displays his art

Analgesic anodyne melody of morn
Rosy song of Auroras from lands forlorn

When sun creeps n sneaks in robes of saffron
My little morning bird’s no more airborne

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
Literally a tiny bird sings on my ledge in the wake of dawn and sings til the first rays of sun.
