Murmurs Of The Heart - 2 Poem by Rose Marie Juan-austin

Murmurs Of The Heart - 2

Rating: 5.0

Am I that insignificant?
Why she never looked my way?

I placed my heart on the petals
of the deep velvety roses.
And she is always
gazing at me,
loving me.

rose can be stealth coy at stealing hearts, the intensity of wax velvet colours/ perfect perfection in variety shifting designs/ a musk in face nose if breathing in rose perfume/ even the thorns sharp warn come closer embrace me

This poem as the painful and wanting sadness of a solitary rose. Just beautiful. And of long-lasting pose.

Your deep love of roses is so exquisitely expressed in this beautiful poem, Rose Marie. I've always wondered about the thorns. After all, are they not protecting the fragile nature of such precious beauty? !
