Music - Poem by Brandon Gommer

My thoughts are overtaking my mind
They are twisting everything up in a bind
I can't see, I can't feel, I feel totally numb
That song stuck in my head, all I can do is hum

If it wasn't for music, I think I'd die
I'd like to get detailed, but I'm just too shy
As the night lingers on, and I'm laying in my bed
I listen to music, on the pillow, rests my head

I can't remember a time music ever let me down
Sometimes the song was sad and I couldn't help but frown
But to be honest, music always makes up having me feel that way
Throughout the night, I'll wait for a happy song, on my bed I lay

Can you blame me for thinking music will make me feel better?
I guess I could find something else to do, like dance or write a letter
But music brings my emotions out better than anything else in my life
And if I ever have to say goodbye to music, at that time, give me a knife
