Music For The Thief Poem by Perdita Young (Hanna Wang)

Music For The Thief

Rating: 5.0

Such a surprise to hear
There are songs to prepare
For a thief that comes in,
Ere he has chance to win.

That has been a ritual,
Though not always visual:
Only insiders know well
A song has much to tell.

The music will change abrupt
Or burst out like an erupt,
To warn shop assistants there
That a suspect will be near…

Songs like "Black Cat the Sarge",
Or "My Chinese Heart Large",
"Babe I'm Sorry" a choice,
Or MJ's "Dangerous" noise.

A thief has come on the scene,
Like a hero on the screen,
In BGM he will appear,
Like a big shot without peer.

A Carmen Sandiego for sure,
Espana matado's a cure,
Sudden comic may be felt there,
Tension brewed when we're unaware.

Perdita, thievery to music is most unusual but we laugh along with you.

Thank you so much for your time and comment. So many ridiculous things in our world.

This seems to be very funny to hear if songs are prepared for thief. This warning poem you have very amazingly penned here and this entirely scribbles mind.....10

It is indeed rather funny to prepare music/songs for the thief...Absurd, but no other way it seems: petty theft is usually not punished...To forestall is better than to amend, as the saying goes.
