My Answer To Khairul Ahsan's 2020 P H Poem.... ' Limerick-3: Where Was Bri? ' Poem by Bri Edwards

My Answer To Khairul Ahsan's 2020 P H Poem.... ' Limerick-3: Where Was Bri? '

Rating: 5.0

Pronounce 'Bri' like 'try', not 'tree', my friend.
And my absence is more or less now at an end.
It was no fear of ' Covid ' which swept me away.
Besides, I'd punch that damn virus. That I do say!

Unlike 'Bri', 'me' IS a word which rhymes with 'tree'
both of which I adore; YES, I love trees and I love ME!
On P H, please put more poetry about ME. It is FREE! !
[ I DO 'slumber', but not in a 'bunker'. NO, not Bri (me) ! ]

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
I only learned of Khairul's poem today, when a P H 'notification' said Kim Barney had commented on it.

It's amazing. I can't never forget you dear Bri for the prolonged communication between you and me that continued for six months over my poem, 'missing towel'. I have not yet bought a new towel Bri....! Stay happy throughout your life!

'TOWEL' RINGS A BELL. BUT I think YOU did not allow messages to you now, maybe by anyone, and maybe it's true. bri : )

Good to know that your absence at Poem Hunter is more or less now at an end.

I thought your nickname Bri is pronounced as in tree like in brie cheese.

I knew 'Bri' was the short form of Brian, and so should be pronounced as is the word 'try', but I took advantage of the 'poetic licence' that poets are allowed to take sometimes for the sake of rhyming.

Ah. Very licentious of you! I found that 'licentious' has 3 definitions, one of which fits! BRI ;)

Thanks for the belated reply. I do not frequent this site as much as I used to do when it was in its previous form. So I too saw your poem (reply) rather late.
