My Canadian Chronicles 004 Poem by David Harris

My Canadian Chronicles 004

Rating: 5.0

I sit in our hotel room
and ponder the days ahead
the adventures each new day will bring.
I am not going to even try
to imagine the delights ahead,
but let the card fall
however, they are dealt.

Some people when on holiday
wish for lots of good weather.
For me it’s not the weather
but those whom I will meet.
The laughter we might enjoy
listening to the funny things that made up our lives.
These are the important things
when I go on holiday.

COMMENTS OF THE POEM

Looking forward to the laughter and humorous things is the way to go and I am sure there would have been lots of it. It is great to share the beginning of your journey. 10 Karin Anderson

Interesting way of living... wish I'm more like you... I am too intrigued by people but words stop me short. You have the gift and the capacity to enjoy people…not many do! A good read...

Poetry provides such a wonderful opportunity to chronicle those events that are important in our lives (and the unimportant ones too sometimes) . It's exciting too for those of us who rarely travel to read the tales of those who do. It's almost like being there. As usual, you share your humanity as well as your words in this interesting slice of life. Love, Allie ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥
