My Cross - Poem by Nhyiraba Germain

Up and down I pace
Without footprints I leave no trace
Into the skies I gaze
And in my eyes a daze

From a mile
I can hear a dial
My mind is an empty space
Occupied by chaos for many days

Where you used to be
A place so dear to me,
Now a bottomless pit
In which I fall constantly wandering around it

Where I used to keep fond memories
The chest that stored my most priceless treasures
And all my guilty pleasures
Has given way to the pressure
Of us not being together in our hours of leisure

My worst fear has come to past
And I don’t know how long it’s going to last
The reality is that,
I’m loosing my sanity wondering why you left

My mind is trapped in limbo
And my soul is cursed with misery
A mighty heart is crumbling
And a spell of loneliness has been cast upon me
Life holds no meaning without your love
Life is not worth living without you.
