My Heavy Heart Poem by LeeAnn Azzopardi

My Heavy Heart

Rating: 5.0

My heavy heart is rising like a kite
It floats further and further through the skies
It almost reached the sun
But the warmth melted my heart
And the wind cannot catch it
For my heart has become wine
And sank into the sewers of depression
Leaving me dying in desolation

The depression is so deep, we can feel it thru your inconsolable and sad verses. Quite impressive! So sorry.

Very profound, LeeAnn. Perhaps Icarus has more to say about depression than hubris. A fantastic verse.
