My Longing For God - Poem by anisha Kolencherry

I am searching for God
in the stillness of my heart.

I found out.. that was a great joy.
It cannot be expressed in words.

I pressed my hands and heart
with deep love and gratitude.

Suddenly I had the feeling
that the one who came to give me love
left me suddenly like a glow worm
which came to me in the night and left.

I sat and enjoyed this vision
in the stillness of the night.

This poem describes a very personal encounter with God; it is really one-on-one I noticed that the actual presence of God occurs between lines 2 and 3, and this is a blank space filled with a spiritual presence, nothing material.
You agree with many mystics who say the experience is beyond words, but the occasion is not beyond words and your poem makes it believable.

the appearance of God and the disappearance of God is well expressed.
this seems to be a mystical experience. thank you dear Poetess.
