My Name Is Not On The ' Best Poets List '! .....Alternate Title: ' I Guess I'll Have To Slit My Wrists. '
Yes, I was shocked to find my name missing. So I've now, BOTH of my wrists, SLIT.
It's not every day a person, usually so mild and peaceful, can feel JUST LIKE SHIT.
NO, it's TOO LATE, PoemHunter, to add my name, because...I'd feel just the same.
Readers, my paultry ** life will be over soon, DON'T worry! ! And I, Bri, feel NO shame.

As Bri said, there has not been advertisements on PH.It is a good thing PH has done.Advertisement while we are reading a poem is very irritating.
Bri"s satire takes a hit on those who seek to be in the limelight. Nice.
Unnikrishnan, my intentions with the poem did not include a desire to 'hit'/disturb/'find fault with' any PH member or to try to suggest the worth or lack of worth of PH's listings of poets and poems. But I DID intend to be (sort of) funny.
'craving recognition'? ? ? Well I think MANY people want some recognition, but 'craving it' is a little over the top. I don't agree with PH's or some members' opinions re the worth of some poems. opinions
M. Asim Nehal also makes a great point: this is your way of satirizing those who crave recognition.
I may have just sent a reponse to me, the poet, as a comment in error. Ha ha, if I did. Duh! But maybe I did send to you; either way it should show up on thie page.

Jim McGill makes an excellent point in his comment. Those who follow you will do so loyally, whether you're on the list or not.

I notice that not even Geeta Radhakrishna Menon's name is on the Best Poet's List. Names of some other excellent poets are also conspicuous by their absence. I think this list may be outdated.
I have no doubt it's NOT updated, but...............the site IS STILL FREE. And I see no ads, and haven't seen ads on PH for a LONG, LONG TIME. : )
