I feel I belong here I don't want to leave it,
The sounds and the beauty of sights that I've seen,
Which capture my heart with a sweet understanding,
And thus fill my soul with its peace so serene.
The walks in the country when sunlight is shining,
The views of the landscape wherever I roam,
I found and discovered my destiny waiting,
For this is my truth and my spiritual home.
The patchwork of colours the fields and the pastures,
The way that the woodlands do speak unto me,
Forever they call by the wind and the breezes,
That blows through their branches so restless and free.
The downs rise in emerald like God's they're surveying,
The heavenly pastures and meadows before,
Serenity glistens in all of its wonder,
All that I wanted I need nothing more.
The streams and the rivers that wind down the valleys,
To taste their pure waters with life giving power,
And feeling at one with the land and its creatures,
And smelling the perfume of each growing flower.
To gaze at the ocean as blue as a sapphire,
The waves on the shoreline the surge of the foam,
To stand on the cliff tops and witness this splendour,
For this is my truth and my spiritual home.
For this is my truth and my spiritual home.. ................................................................ The rich internal nature gives the reader of infinite calmness... As though really 'see' own to loneliness in the nature... To which aspire poets... 10..... Best wishes, Tsira
This poem could easily have been written a hundred years ago. You have an ear for a style of poetry that is intensely romantic and lyrical. This one combines the pastoral and the spiritual (a fine coupling methinks) . It flows like sparkling spring water and shines like the moon. Beautiful. love, Allie ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥
