... at the 'Best Member Poem' list.
For months, the poem 'Flying by Night' by Ted Kooser was number one on the list.
Then one day, it disappeared. Poof! Just like that, it was gone.
How does a poem go from number one on a 'best' list to nowhere overnight?
It has happened again.
Yesterday, and for I'm not sure how long before that, 'Suicide' by Lisa French was number one on the list.
Today, that poem does not appear anywhere on the top 100.
Someone at PH is manipulating the numbers.
One more thing: I'm not sure Ted Kooser is even a 'member' of Poem Hunter.
Did he put his own poems on here, or did someone else do it?
Has he ever left a comment on one of your poems?
No disrespect to Mr. Kooser, of course. He has been Poet Laureate of the U. S. a couple of times, and I love his poetry.
But if you ARE an active member of this website, Mr. Kooser, please chime in and let us know!
They are doing it again! Yesterday, 'Suicide' was gone from the list entirely, and today it is back at number one!
Today Lisa French's poem is back on the list at number two. I'm sure it was completely gone yesterday!
You're right: it was. Then yesterday it disappeared completely again, and now today it is back on the list at number one! Somebody is having fun messing with us!
Thanks for posting this. It saves me the trouble of posting something similar.
... and there are a couple of poems near the top of the list, that when you read them, you wonder HOW IN THE WORLD THEY COULD POSSIBLY BE CONSIDERED 'BEST' on ANYBODY'S list!
This poem has not been translated into any other language yet.
I would like to translate this poem
I have noticed the same exact thing. A couple of weeks ago, one of my own poems was number 64 on the list, and the next day it disappeared completely!
And just yesterday your poem 'How Pleasant to Know Old Man Kim' was number TWENTY-FIVE on the list, and today it does not show up at all!
