What shalt thou forget?
how canst one forget
this mystic goddess of love.
So slim like gazelle,
body chiselled
brown eyes sparkling
like stars twinkling
in the midnight skies.
Her face as milky
like snowflakes silky
lips a vermal red
blush deeper sweets
And cheeks like
apples in snow greets.
Silken strands of hair so brown
with streaks of golden hues,
fluttering in breeze
like crimson flags
atop the mountain tags.
When she’s around
Eden’s at play surround
Hast thou seen
the brilliant sun
Aloft the skies in a run?
Never did it more beautifully steep
Over treetops, mountains and vales so deep.
See how the ocean is lashing
Its waves upon the shores a dashing
And hear the sighs of
gentle breeze,
so distant
yet so close,
like flutes of yore.
See the roses in spring
with butterflies, peacocks
and bees in swing.
In desolation
and in happiness
thy love she is.
Her love thou remains
thy love poems show.
In the lap of love thou art
At nights, not alone
with perfumes and wine
and wanton hours,
shes always
in thy thoughts
On grainy sands of her heart
Thy name is etched from start
to end, the tears she sheds
like drops of blood
become crystals of diamonds
to sparkle for eternity.
Nay do not forget
Or shall I say
THOU SHALL NEVER
FORGET HER
That mystic goddess of love
