At an autumn's cold evening
as the wave was popping into shore
I got the impression it was sweeping away
the leaves of memory's tissues
where in summer we had written
love promises οn excitment's fervour.
Beautiful and romantic! Waves may sweep the fervor and excitement of love but memory of it keeps coming back to touch the shore for what was once there, till we realize that even the memory of it is chipped away with time.
Memories pushed back into oblivion sometimes is a whole hoard ''At lucky to grasp''.Do, please, read this exactly one to see how much attention do we elders must pay to those memories.Thank you for the kindness to comment it.
Love sometimes only has a season, a time and place where two hearts unite, the Autumn chill is a reminder of what could have been! Superb write!
Hazel, if you have not, do please read the ''At lucky to grasp''
Thank you, dear Hazel.Climate and seasons play, indeed, a great role in feelings. That is what i wanted to show.
Waves come and sweep away all that the lovers wrote on the sea strand in the height of their love! Great lines!
The initial frenzy of love slowly waning with the passage of time...how wonderfully you have put it. Using the Nature imagery, you have described your feelings in a great way. A wave sweeping away the leaves of memory...loved this image. Great work.
