Living bodies are open systems,
need constant input of food,
water and energy
for survival.
Mother Nature is the unique giver
of every thing without
any betrayal.
The sun provides energy to all,
does not discriminate
large and small.
Rises and sets with a
clock's regularity,
creates clouds in the sky
and gives back the showers
to cheer us all.
The rivers move down
the mountains,
triumph over all hurdles
en route to ocean,
ultimately lose their individuality,
and identity.
Neither they consider
light as happiness nor
dark as sadness,
never do they drink
their own water,
feel fruitful and sanctified
in donating it to all fraternities,
irrespective of their ethnicity.
The trees, tall or dwarf,
bear many fruits and
never eat their own crops,
happy to offer others
for the benefit of all.
They never compare
with other trees,
never resist to change their
leaf colour from green to red
in autumn and a falling down
in winter,
silently surrendering to
the universal laws of Nature,
await for a recall.
The clouds release water
to promote germination
of dormant seeds providing
food and water to us all,
never demand any task,
in lieu of grains,
from the farmers.
But our Governments
impose and collect
heavy tasks without
accounting for how they deliver.
The ants and bees remain busy
and active for the benefit of all
in their community.
Teach us that every body
is essential for the improvement
of family, community, nations
and the world if we work with
honesty and integrity.
The mountains stand tall and
firm regardless of many
natural and man made disasters.
Silently they encourage us
to remain determined,
in spite of great dangers
to be best achievers.
We dig, dedicate, build, test
nuclear weapons, litter the earth
and the atmosphere.
But earth tolerates all our
activities, without protest,
for our welfare.
All mentioned teach us the
best lessons silently, contribute
freely.
They are vast and ego
less where as we are very small
and egoistic with our small
selfish improvements adamantly.
If we analyse and compare
their greatness and contributions
with our human nature,
it is crystal clear that human
beings are unworthy of
boasting themselves as the
most highly evolved
in the creation.
Rather we need to traverse
a pretty long way as we are
always engaged in many evils
to make our small name and
fame immortal in life
and even after our
physical degradation.
What magnificent poem. Powerful and very encompassing write that captures the generosity of Mother Nature. So beautifully expressed and well executed. To my Poem List.
You are absolutely write friend. Good future ahead...carry on!
I THOUGHT and am oft thinking EXPERIENCE IS The Best Teacher, Sir, BUT you have added myriad things more to our experiences. Excellent idea!
