Never Happen Poem by Darwin Henry Beuning

Never Happen

Rating: 5.0

As a youth
In the early 60's
On a Minnesota farm,

Two things I thought
Would never happen -
Bottled water and Cable TV.

Water - no shortage,
Just turn on the faucet.

Cable TV
We have an antenna
And view for free.

To my surprise, both became
Part of everyday life.

Yep, two things inconceivable back then. Here's another: we never dreamed back then that we would someday carry a telephone in our shirt pocket!

This is because we move forward and advance. Yes many things are now memories.
