New World Poem by Kelly Vinal

New World

Rating: 5.0

Substantial
Inequities persist
In the new world fantasy –
Of still-water, wildlife sipping,
Sunshine play on banks
And fields of flowing gold.
Innocence and silhouettes
Dance on and on in
Twisted form –
To casting bronze;
To frozen icon
Figures at the door.
Substantial…
It's life, to exist,
It exits in anagrams,
Escapes
In sentient moments, wild
But still aware - love in
Isolation; hope in
Desperation –
So too shall dreams
Behold somewhere –

The bounty of the tide.

I enjoy the motion. The following stand out for me: 'wildlife sipping, ' and 'So too shall dreams Behold somewhere – '
