No Historical Truths Poem by Sandra Feldman

No Historical Truths

Rating: 5.0

History is told
By the grasp
And apprehension
Of the mind and eye
Of the beholder,
Nothing is true
Or false,
It all depends
On the one,
Who invents
Or fills out,
History's, folder.

The more I hear and see,
The more I doubt,
Things said,
Have come to pass
As told,
They were said to be.

History sometimes is twisted to promote self interest. Well thought.....10+++

History is written by the victors or their agents. The saga of the vanquished has no place in it.

History should always give us beauty and true information about the past. The more we should hear and see about history. This poem is amazingly penned with wonderful note.

There is always an element of doubt in history. I guess, we believe what we want to or what pleases us. And dismiss others. Dear Sandra, this poem has set me thinking about history. Food for thought! Happy i was able to catch this poem. Beautiful Poem as always.....10

Wow! Wow! Wow! History was missing but I was tossing. History is told but with mind of bold. We still think but uncertainty does link! You are quick and we are reading it fast. Still I hear and see. Wonder I find in poem!
