No More Laughter Poem by Jayne Louise Davies

No More Laughter

Rating: 5.0

This surely cannot be,
There is no more laughter now,
Between you and me.
I cannot believe, that you are now gone,
Do you walk with the angels now?
Do you sing their sweet song?
In this life of mine,
I really miss,
Your hand in mine.
Loving and kind,
That's what you were,
Your gentle voice,
I long to hear.

The pain of losing someone dear is beautifully depicted in this poem. We all can relate to it.

The last but one line... your quest of a loving past is magnified like a gentle murmuring river that you have appreciated. A wonderful poem
