Not Enough Tears Poem by Sandra Feldman

Not Enough Tears

Rating: 5.0

Like a cracked vase,
Pieces hardly holding together,
The United States is Not,
The Country it once was,
SHAME, SHAME on Us!
We threw Ourselves,
Under the bus,
There are not enough tears,
Of guilt and regret,
To regain,
The honesty and decency,
We the people so openly gave up,
And Were made to forget.

And if there is any Justice left,
Let the guilty, one day,
Pay for and regret,
The Hell's Fire,
That they themselves, SET!

Not enough tears,
To regret
The death of hope,
And future fears.

I cried, took a lavender bath and hugged my puppy. i'm beyond disappointed in my country for electing this man. I will not be quiet, I will not move on. I will do my best to be the change I want to see in my country. Just voting is not enough. Sandra, this is one of your best poems...very well written...just hard to read because its too personal.

I understand your pain dear Sandra, it happens all over the world and I think is great that people dare to say it loud. Hugs. Please smile, world will be different. The people are raising their voices. I am so proud and happy to read your poem, one of the matches that lights the fire of change, thank you!
