We used to be inseparable
Forever
We use to have time as ours
Love will remember
Now we only have now
We have have ourselves
Our future not ours to tell
But our present ours to craft

O now! It disappears every nanosecond. However, the poem rests on the common assumption of the present. It carries time into a maleable state.
