You are far, far away
But your light lights my way
A serene iridescence
Hung in the distance
Above the mountain rim
At times, hidden behind eaves
Radiance unrivalled in full view
Lighting up the travelers' path
You are creative burst for the poet
A symbol of dread for the superstitious
The temple of a lover's heart
A fruition of cherished dreams
Standing upright among the winking stars
You shine as if there's no end
Human vision cannot see
What worlds of wonder you hold
A silver globe of tender light
With myriads of mysteries inside
You are and will be
A subject for deep reflection

Beauty’s first definition And love’s truthful expression Again marvelous description of the moon. after reading your poem i smiled. a smile comes automatically on my lips. like it very much
I cite your two lines here: The temple of a lover's heart A fruition of cherished dreams.......................mesmerizing, most beautifully worded. The temple of a lover´s heart. A loveliest Ode to the Full Moon......I have enjoyed the words very much. A Fantastic poem is presented here. Thank you for sharing this dashing poem.
WOW Nosheen this is a double WOW poem. The first stanza alone is a marvelous evocation of the impact of the moon on our senses. Then in the second you give us a list of five metaphors for the Moon, each one of which displays a heightened perception of the Moon's role in our human lives. Each metaphor is a potential poem. And the third stanza is my favorite because it presents the Moon as a Mystery we will never solve but we don't want a solution: we want to enter the Moon's Mystery and dwell within its beauty. And that's why poets like us can be found standing in perfect stillness watching the moonlight flood our being.
moon is mirror of the sun so we humans won't think sun is gone... or sun's promise to come back in morning

It has been proved that moon influences the earth and what ever we see on the earth. How it affects human thoughts is nicely described in this beautiful poem.
