Old Bengo Poem by Jayne Louise Davies

Old Bengo

Rating: 4.7

Our old dog Bengo,
Well what can I say,
He never failed to make our day,
Boxer by breed,
Wicked by nature,
When he was in the mood,
He was a true exterminator,
He swallowed a sock!
He'd chew up the clothes,
Destruction was his middle name,
He'd surely keep you on your toes!
He was lovable, but a real pain!
I miss that old mutt,
I think of him often,
Even though,
He drove us insane!

I give four stars. I'd give more it there had been ONE MORE rhyme, and it wouldn't hurt to have some humor and (I mean in this poem) , WOULD IT? bri ;)

Written as only? a dog-lover could write it: with love. I don't hate dogs, not any animals; well not many anyway. : ) bri

Ha! Boxers are a different breed, for sure, but they can be very loveable. Thanks for posting.
