Fresh lilies cut
On a summer afternoon
Whiteness and purity,
Angelic, dust
Softly falling
On life's,
Peaceful lagoon.
That's how I envisioned
Our life, together,
Sharing, all the good
And the bad,
But with the greatest
Happiness, we had
Ever had,
Yet, the lilies died
Before.
They had a chance,
To envision,
This love that remained
Only, a dreamt, romance
In our silent past.
I agree with s. zaynab. This is one of your best poems in quite some time. Well done and five stars!
Thank you for your comment. Praise should never be taken for granted. So, highly appreciated.
Wow one of your best, begins in joy with metaphoric use of nature for bliss then ends in dejection. Kudos for this one! ! Plz also read and comment my newest poem titled, 'In and out the lusty nil wedding bells ' tion
