Pasting Stars Poem by Violet Llewellyn

Pasting Stars

Rating: 5.0

Paste the stars up in the sky
Any way you want
So you can show what beauty is
To you

Sculpt all the mountain tops
Cover them with snow
Or not
But choose to show what beauty would be
If it were a stake
Big enough to impale the earth

Mold all the people
Mean or sad
Or nice or glad
Make them all the things people can be
Terrible or good
Or in between

And if you ever decide
Someday far from now
Or maybe even tomorrow
That what you did is wrong
Or ugly
Or if you want
To turn your face from it
Remember one thing:
You created it
You must love it anyway
