Picking Up Pieces Poem by RoseAnn V. Shawiak

Picking Up Pieces

Reality hitting hard at times, knocking one to the
ground, taking away our breath.

Dreams being confiscated, trampled upon, leaving
us wondering what has happened.

Reaching out, picking up the many pieces of our
puzzles, trying to redo the pictures we had in mind
for our futures.

Hope and faith challenging the causes of reality,
knowing that we are going to resurrect every particle
of our puzzle, attaining our goals and dreams forever.

Man ultimately lives on hope and faith. Without hope this is very difficult to live this human life with its pain and strife.

Hi RoseAnn, I've translated your poem, but I'm not completely sure about the exact meaning (in your last stanza) of your words: ''knowing that we are going to resurrect every particle / of our puzzle, attaining our goals and dreams forever. '' Maybe you'll be so kind to give me the right interpretation.. For the moment, here is my Italian version: Speranza e fede sfidano le ragioni della realtà, confortandoci con la resurrezione di ogni particella del mistero che siamo, 'sì da conseguire i nostri obiettivi e sogni per sempre. Cheers
