American Male

Pieces Of Dreams - Poem by American Male

pieces of shattered dreams
shrapnel through my heart
left with no place to go
nor life for a new start

I hold a lifeless hand
since your heart's taken leave
my arms embrace illusions
the death of love I grieve

drenched by rains of grey tears
sound of heart’s lonely tolling bell
from the graveyard of broken love
I'm living in a frozen cold hell

mourning friends can now read
our pain chiseled in stone
at their feet lays the tomb
of a love, unknown
