Poem Hunter Does Not Respect Wishes Poem by Kim Barney

Poem Hunter insists on adding
that obnoxious computer-voice
soundtrack to my poems,
despite my wishes to the contrary.

I have checked the box that says
'I do not want video added to any of my poems'.
That was done years ago,
and for a long time they didn't do it.

They have started doing it again.
They have added soundtrack to almost
all of my poems now.
I tried to fool them for a while by only putting
foreign language, cryptograms, or gibberish in the poem area
and hiding the poem in the poet's notes area.

Now they are even adding soundtracks to the gibberish!
How ridiculous is that?

Even when I put characters there that weren't even letters of the alphabet (in any language) they still added soundtracks!

When editing your poems, there is a box
that says 'delete video'. If you click on it,
it says 'Your video has been deleted',
but it really hasn't. It is still there.

I'm really fed up with this, but I'm not going to fight it any more.
I will no longer check every day to see if they have added videos to more poems. I know that they will do it sooner or later (probably sooner) . I will look for a poetry website that doesn't do this.

Just watch. They will probably even add video to this
diatribe within twenty four hours. Their computer does
it automatically without a live person even reading it, I suspect.
