There is an undercurrent
Flowing vile
Of beings
Ne-er reading or seeing just how much talent there is....
Instead
The
Dreaded....
(Cordially invited) to read my fantastic piece
Flops on the cyber mat
And i say Phah! to that
All men are equal
Play fair
You dont hold a party then decline to attend
That way dear (ego fruits)
You loose all your friends
I like the way you call them 'ego fruits' that's so true and cute
'Poet Politics....ego fruits' The first two words of the title in juxtaposition with with 'ego fruits' i found delightful. Poet Politics is fascinating, will recommend this to another poet I always discuss poems with on a literacy level of interactive comments. And can't wait 2 read her new poet discovery. I adored the first 3 stanzas especially, this is really one of my favourite forms, satire in my verse my rarely used, is often not appreciated :) This 'Flops on the cyber mat' gives me images of a floundering fish and following the '(Cordially invited) to read my fantastic piece' gave me immense please. My 7 year of daughter is busy asking questions about your poem and name. Just asked why I am still laughing. Actually 4 my friends i ask a list, and being friends they wait patiently or remind on my request. When writing, when finally windows of opportunity are available, i leap through the window joyously, without bothering to consider consequences of the fall, all bruises are worth enduring. My friend Eric commented 'one must continually read the works of others to find their own way! ' sadly for me this just gets me lost. I have time usually only to either write or comment. Please forgive me I cannot catch even my own thoughts, and even at university studying poetry, i remained true to my own voice in anything worth reading. Thus normally I write write write when opportunity knocks. My poems not worth reading, many are for specific mind frames, just skip skip skip after fist few lines if not your theme, topic, style. Poems are meant to be enjoyed, thus with Karen i agree, comment or not as you please, while i try to write at least the tip, of my own ice burg. Loved the poem Karen. Will personally continue this conversation with you later. My pleasure my friend :)

Well said, but as observed, they probably won't read this. I love those invitations that are not reciprocated. A lack of manners as you have eloquently stated, driven by ego. Some requests I just delet because people are rude. Problem here is the rating out of 10, it fuels the ego of many I have observed. I don't care about it it adds nothing to the poem, it's analysis or appreciation of it. The flew of the vent is wide open, well done.
