Pouring Rain - Poem by Melanie burbridge

Pouring Rain
She sits in the empty room
All alone so confused and worried
Her eyes filling and falling like the pouring rain
She can’t keep ignoring the hurt and pain
Cause she is slowly going insane
And she can feel the tears rolling slowly down her face
She feels as though she is out of place
As she walks carefully behind her
She can see how much the little things matter
But she keeps walking listening to the chatter
She can tell that the past will never be a blur
And that it can never be erased
She knows that one day she will be replaced
But when this day occurs she cannot explain
Cause she is so unsure of her own feelings
She knows that she will always feel the pouring rain
And the feeling of it on her cheek
She gets this feeling every time they speak
She is so confused so broken
When she starts to act stupid
She can tell she is hurt and wounded
But deep down inside she can tell she still loves her
Just not the same way as when she was walking in the pouring rain
