Prayers For A Lonely Soul
I stumbled across a lonesome post
Among the hosts of others,
On a Facebook Group page,
Of which I am a member.
Everyday many a post appears
On a myriad of matters;
Such as stories, poems, fun posts,
Travelogues and personal memoirs.
Among those stood this lonesome post
With a heart touching appeal;
‘I feel very lonely.
Please pray for me.'
I learned that the one who posted
These two lines of emotion,
Has had a terrible year this time,
Having lost two of her dearest ones in a row.
The lonesome post touched me deeply.
It stands out from the crowd
Because of its naivety; the emotion couldn't
Have been conveyed in lesser words.
As appealed, I respond by this fervent prayer:
May God provide her comfort and composure
And peace of mind; may she find ample joy
In her surroundings, may she get going again!

Such a lovely thing to do, Khairul. You mat never know the ripples that such a kindness might create not only in her heart but also in others. We all might need a little help from a stranger to get through these days of the year 2020. Top marks for this poem and for your heart and soul

Yeah, sometimes loneliness becomes the killer if not take positively. Losing near and dear ones keeps one aloof from crowd. That is dangerous. We must support the person and help him. Thanks for sharing such a beautiful poem on loneliness.
