Prince Of Darkness Poem by Connor Whyte

Prince Of Darkness

Rating: 4.5

You fell from above as an angel one of the most beautiful of angels you fell as your wings were torn apart and collapsed into your hate.

Above despises, below some worship you, underneath the souls cry to you, the fallen work for you. You are what is beauty on the outside but ugly on the inside with your power of manipulation you can fool anyone but yourself.

They say you take on A hideous form thats hard to look at without being blinded by fear, some see the beauty in you and other see the evil in you, Lucifer you will never be called by your angelic name but your true name, you are the prince of darkness and your plots are insidious.

We know when you are around we can smell the rotting of dead and the fresh smell of sulfur, you lurk in the shadows and watch our every step, the raw power you behold will never take hold of what you truly want, gather your souls and collect your tax but god is never going to take you back.

The leader of all legions and scavenger of the dead, your looks do impress but your inside disgust us, I find beauty in hate but through you takes another step, A dark path I walked and your apparition did manifest.

Your appearance was never blessed.

...... Not entirely sure what to say, and I mean that in a good way, the whole thing was amazing. I love the flow of it and the word choices and everything. Plus the subject of it and the deliverance of feelings towards it made it even better, I really really like this!

In your poems I find the touch of Biblical expression.Yes, Lucifer i.e the evil power sometimes works in character. But, the apparent angelic feature may fool other.Very nice. The expectation and the non fulfillment, are revealed thru this.
