Prom! $e Of Love
It's so hard to believe that he's gone,
everything seems a blur, so wrong.
You sit there and stare at your ring,
this couldn't be happening, not him.
You feel all drained and all alone,
You hate to go to the place you once called home.
As you sit and clutch tightly to his clothes,
you remember all his promises, his vows.
He's so far away yet so near,
he's always there to wipe away your every tear.
As you stare at the bed where he layed,
you somehow still find him there by your side.
When you look at his picture all you wanna do is cry,
but you know that in your heart he'll always live by.
You still remember his touch, his kiss,
and you yearn for his presence that you so much miss.
You smile through your tears as you remember,
him catching your hand and promising to always be together.
You don't have to let him go if you don't want to,
He's up there smiling and looking down at you.
He's with you whatever you do, wherever you go,
through all your ups and downs, highs and lows.
As you remember his voice, his laughter,
you know that he'll live on forever.
Every night when in your dreams you him see,
you know that he was yours and always shall be.
Emotive and touching. Watch the tenses and grammer though when rhyming the end of a line.
An emotive sharing of loss - - and with a tender undercurrent you have succeeded in appeal to the reader.... well written. 10 from Fay.
