Do you remember,
how it was when we were still together?
How we used to in the rain dance,
and dream of going to England and France?
How we wrote our names across the sky,
how we drank, just to get high?
How no dream was out of reach,
how we strolled hand in hand along the beach?
How you always turned up late,
and still managed to make it the best date?
How we used to on top of our voices sing,
how you were the wind beneath my wings?
How we used to count the stars together at night,
how everything felt different but just about right?
How we never ran outta things to say to each other,
how we always promised to be together?
How we called each other names but never felt bad,
words can never describe what we had.
I still think of what it would be,
if I had you and you had me.
You made my every dream come true,
when i close my eyes, i still see you.
Even though now we're miles apart,
you're the one who still has my heart.
“Even though now we're miles apart, you're the one who still has my heart.” Words of the heart of her who is so in-love… this is the way it is… nice! Well said dear…
Desire is the food for the heart. You got it right Tanvi. Brett
Beautiful love song, it sounds music in just its lyrics. But a request, which i got as advice from my friends, try to use complete words, right from the title. It will give the reader a better start in his mind.
Conjunction of rhythm, emotion and diction.... Ur poetic art is getting better and better in this kind of love poems. Dont write anything else. Only love poetry.....
Emotion, words, everything is perfect in this wonderful poem. A heartful of thanks for writing this. God bless U..keep writing: -)
Wonderful words that are loaded with love. Well done my friend! 10/10

Desire of the heart or love gone astray? How many times is the desire or heart mentioned in the body of your work? Maybe another title?
