Random Thought 40 (Managing Nature) Poem by Savita Tyagi

Random Thought 40 (Managing Nature)

Rating: 5.0

Controlled by dams
Rivers are becoming
Trickling streams
A sad scenario!

Here comes the hurricane
And heavy rain!
City streets turn into rivers
A sad scenario!

COMMENTS OF THE POEM

Trying to manage nature in my yards, this title was sure to attract me, Savita. The first thing that comes to mind is something I was doing a little research on this week, i.e., how the Swiss company Nestle has been sucking streams and other water sources dry to put the water in plastic bottles. They then sell the water for obscene profits. This is happening in the U.S. as well as other countries around the world. They control about 70 percent of the world's bottled water. As to my own struggles and respect with and for nature, just two of my poems you might enjoy are Losing Battle and Snowing Seeds. Yay! for nature which puts us in our place, though I certainly feel for people affected by her more violent displays. Glen

This poem is thought provoking and this talks about cause of hurricane. Flowing of river is protected and controlled by dam. A sad scenario of trickling stream is observed. Amazingly drafted poem is shared here...10
