Regret
The cycle of events,
Ones which I cannot vent;
Have haunted my thoughts
Like a noose of ascots.
Undaunted I try to Escape
And to whip into shape
The life that has transpired
And the plans that backfired
Nonetheless I will push forth
As fast as the slowest sloth,
Also, try to overcome-
And become wholesome..
Uphill task this is I know,
But to this world I should show,
The past that haunts me-
Might be snuffed with reverie.
but, daydreaming isnt enough
We have to live through stuff.
Wishful thinking gets me nowhere,
Except making life threadbare...
Wake up, get up, be strong..! !
Expell whatever that is wrong,
Sing that long overdue song-
Of victory and virtue before long.
See the life change before you,
And if what I hope is true,
The past will not matter at all,
And at the center you'll stand tall.
Don't let the past haunt your present and future. Instead of day-dreaming, one needs to put in sincere efforts and 'See the life change before you'. Thanks for sharing this motivational piece of poetry.
