Sad Contradictions Poem by Sandra Feldman

Sad Contradictions

Rating: 5.0

If Love is
So important
And necessary
Why is hate practiced
And taught,
How can we want to kill
Others,
Even design, fabricate
The Poison and the Rope.

Concentration Camps
Are part of this
Deadly matter,
Historical Horror
Murderous course,
A "Life is a Life"
But if they were Jews
It just didn't matter,
And nobody cared
And nobody said a word
Or screamed
"Bloody Murder"
As the gas chambers,
Were put in motion
And the Tragedy,
Went further,
Until not even
The cries of the victims
Were heard!

No, not a cry
Not even a condemnation,
Not a single syllable heard!
Were they all Cowards? ? ?
Those that kept silent
While millions died
Or because they were
Jews,
Their Lives Didn't Matter,
It was just one,
Of those things
That happen, when you
Have no rights
And can't even escape
Or hide...
Yes, All Lives Matter!
But, we all have a lot
To be ashamed of
When History's Truth
Is not on our side.

A powerful and perceptive write . Deeply moving and poignant and so very true Protection. to life is constitutionally mandated and it is one of the ten commandments. Both under the laws of God and men, life is of primordial importance.Yet, men with their greediness they commit murders. Yes, all lives matter even those who are still unborn.
