रेत माफ़िया / Sand Mafia (Hindi)
रेत माफ़िया बदमाशों का जमघट है
यमुना में भी जिसने सड़क बना दी है
यमुना बैंक से इंद्रप्रस्थ: मेट्रो के नीचे
नया अजूबा अभी देखने में आया है
कहने वाले कहते हैं यह स्वयं बनी है
पर यह बदमाशों की ही कारस्तानी है
यदि इन चीजों को अभी न रोका जाएगा
कल को यमुना का जल कहाँ जाएगा
रेत की चोरी करने वाले नहीं रुकेंगे
अपराधों में कई गुना इज़ाफ़ा हो जाएगा
प्रश्न ये है के कैसे इन अवैध सड़कों को
तोड़ेंगे और यमुना को आज़ाद करेंगे
और जिन लोगों की गफलत के चलते
सड़क बनी, उनको भी कब तक पकड़ेंगे....
This is a serious and relevant issue portrayed through this poem. Rajnish ji, i am so glad that you have brought out a environmental hazard problem through your words. The river Yamuna is famed for its flowing water and well known for the various stories that revolve around Lord Krishna and the Gopis, who inhabited along this holy river. To pollute it is shocking. Thank you, Geeta ji, for so nicely putting the subject in historical perspective. What is worrisome is the fact that this is happening right under the nose of central and state govt. bur they are too busy with their feuds. Two years back, same thing was seen in NOIDA (UP) .

Looks like Mafia is active everywhere. In whatever shape and form they can find to operate! I am too far from India to know this but some pitfalls of city life are getting more and more annoying everywhere. Thanks for sharing.
