Savannah River Poem by Walterrean Salley

Savannah River

Rating: 5.0

Down by the river
They come and go
Townsmen and tourists
Walk to and fro.
They watch the waters,
The birds in the sky,
The ships and barges
As they go by.
Amusers simply
Stand and stare,
Amazed by the beauty
That they find there.
The river, and buildings
And cobblestoned streets
Are such a view.
What a treat.

This poem is so descriptive of your gracious, charming river and town. So well done, I wish to return. A great treat

I live along the St Lawrence River; the waterfront is always a pleasing place to visit. Probably not as pleasing as yours
